MidAmerica St. Louis Airport – Terminal Expansion
Mascoutah, Illinois
Louer Facility Planning provided furniture and coordination services for the MidAmerica St. Louis Airport terminal expansion and renovation, working under a hard bid contract on a project designed by HOK. This large-scale, schedule-driven project required careful planning, coordination, and execution across multiple areas of the airport.
Our team furnished key passenger and operational spaces throughout the terminal, including ticketing, security, gate areas, and upper-level public environments. At the security checkpoint, we provided Visiontron stanchions to guide passenger flow, custom podiums for TSA operations, and seating for passengers navigating the screening process.
On the upper level, Louer Facility Planning coordinated both new and existing seating layouts, including the relocation of airport seating and the integration of new furniture solutions. This work required early coordination of electrical infrastructure within the floor slab to support power access at ganged seating, communal worktables, and lounge areas.
Additional elements included quartz-topped communal worktables with integrated power, lounge seating with powered side tables, café tables and seating for the food service area, and waste and recycling receptacles installed throughout the facility. Each component was carefully planned to support passenger comfort, functionality, and durability in a high-traffic environment.
Given the scale and complexity of the project, our team worked closely with the general contractor, vendors, and installation partners to ensure proper sequencing, coordination, and placement of all elements—delivering a cohesive and fully operational environment on schedule.
