Hoyleton Youth and Family Services
Corporate Headquarters – Fairview heights, Illinois
A Decade of Partnership Supporting Growth, Mission, and Impact
Louer Facility Planning’s relationship with Hoyleton Youth and Family Services began at a critical moment of transition. The organization had outgrown its existing facility in East St. Louis—an environment that no longer supported the scale or complexity of its services.
Louer was engaged to lead a comprehensive needs assessment and develop a workplace strategy for a new corporate headquarters—one that could align with Hoyleton’s mission while supporting future growth.
Working closely with executive leadership, Louer gained a deep understanding of Hoyleton’s operations, organizational structure, and long-term goals. As a nonprofit serving children and families across southern Illinois, flexibility, privacy, and accessibility were essential to the success of the environment.
Hoyleton ultimately selected a three-story building in Fairview Heights, Illinois, establishing a centralized corporate headquarters designed to bring together executive, administrative, and program teams under one roof.
The initial buildout focused on creating a balanced workplace that included:
- Open office areas to support team collaboration and visibility
- Private offices for focused work and confidential conversations
- Conference rooms for training, planning, and organizational alignment
- Huddle rooms for smaller, more personal interactions and case discussions
As the organization has grown, the workplace has evolved alongside it—expanding from a single floor to ultimately occupy the entire building. Today, the space supports a wide range of services including foster care, counseling, art and play therapy, community programming, and Puentes de Esperanza, Hoyleton’s Hispanic outreach initiative.
Throughout the environment, design elements reinforce Hoyleton’s identity and mission. Branded graphics, color, and messaging are integrated into circulation areas and shared spaces, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and purposeful. Spaces for youth and family interaction are intentionally designed to feel approachable and supportive—avoiding institutional cues while maintaining durability and performance.
Furniture solutions, including AIS workstations and private office systems, were selected for their flexibility, quality, and long-term value. These systems allow Hoyleton to reconfigure spaces over time as staffing needs and programs evolve—supporting both growth and operational efficiency.
Through cooperative purchasing with OMNIA Partners, Hoyleton was also able to access high-quality solutions at pre-negotiated pricing, streamlining procurement and reducing administrative burden.
Over the course of a decade, this partnership has resulted in more than a workplace—it has created an adaptable environment that actively supports Hoyleton’s mission. By aligning space with purpose, Louer Facility Planning has helped the organization expand its impact while maintaining a consistent, functional, and welcoming environment for staff, children, and families alike.
