Icon Mechanical Corporate Headquarters

Granite City, Illinois

Louer Facility Planning has partnered with Icon Mechanical since 2012, providing workplace planning, office furniture specification, and ongoing space optimization to support the company’s continued growth.

In 2021, this long-standing relationship expanded with the completion of Icon Mechanical’s new 40,800-square-foot, two-level corporate headquarters on their Granite City campus. This corporate office design project includes executive offices, administrative and staff workspaces, open office environments, training and conference rooms, and a large first-floor amenity space designed as a work café and touchdown area. A central atrium brings natural light into the core of the building, enhancing the overall workplace environment and employee experience.

Furnishings were carefully selected to align with the building’s industrial yet refined architectural aesthetic while supporting flexibility, durability, and day-to-day functionality. Haworth Compose, a modular office furniture system, was implemented as a scalable, long-term solution—allowing the workplace to adapt as operational needs evolve.

In addition to furniture and space planning, Louer Facility Planning provided custom fabricated acoustic panels, enhancing sound control and overall workplace comfort. These integrated acoustic solutions contribute to improved focus, reduced noise levels, and a more balanced open office environment.

As Icon Mechanical has continued to grow, Louer Facility Planning has supported multiple workplace reconfigurations and office space planning initiatives within the headquarters, increasing density and improving space utilization. The ability to reconfigure and repurpose existing systems furniture has delivered long-term value, reduced costs, and supported an efficient workplace strategy.

This partnership continues to evolve, with Louer Facility Planning currently supporting the design and furnishing of an auxiliary building to accommodate ongoing expansion—extending a cohesive, flexible workplace design approach across Icon Mechanical’s growing corporate campus.
